Scalp Psoriasis - Symptoms

Listed below are the common symptoms of psoriasis:

  • Flaking of the scalp;
  • Patches of psoriasis on the scalp;
  • Red patches of skin covered with thick, silvery white scales;
  • Itching sensation;
  • White flakes fallen on the clothes (similar to dandruff); and
  • Associated hair loss.

Associated factors

There are certain factors that can trigger psoriasis, namely:

Temperature changes - cold, dry weather makes psoriatic symptoms worse;
Infection such as strep-throat;
Stress, depression and anxiety; and
 
Some conventional medications, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may also increase your psoriasis
