Infertility Diagnosis

To diagnose infertility, our doctors will take your medical history including any chronic health issues and surgeries. The doctor will ask you different questions related to medications you are currently taking, sexual history, your sex habits like how often you engage in intimate activity with your partner or the time of your sexual intercourse, and your lifestyle habits like smoking or drinking habits, etc.

Based on the clinical history provided by you and your partner, our doctors may suggest you some tests to check –

For women

  • Hormone levels to determine whether you're ovulating
  • Any symptoms of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
  • The condition of your uterus and fallopian tubes to check for blockages or other problems.

For men

  • Sperm count, the quality of sperms, and the mobility of sperms
  • Shape of the sperm as an abnormal or unusual shape of sperm makes it harder to move and fertilize an egg
  • Level of testosterone and other male hormones
  • Problems with ejaculation (ejaculatory duct obstruction or retrograde ejaculation or premature ejaculation).
